The Ranting

Anyway, monthly complaining aside, I'm actually having a fairly good week. I'm on track with my Turbo Novel (NaNo in May, essentially, and 24 days instead of 30), Designing for Sci-Fi and Fantasy went well (June and Piers really liked my design for the Obverse Doctor, and they also liked my fabric and vague design outline for Romana; w00t!) and I have an endless supply of tea. Up until yesterday I had sourdough bread as well. I have lovely-smelling soap, Ojai is next weekend (and ZOMG they have public bathrooms. Why did no one tell me this last time? I could have avoided the horrors of Port-a-Potties), Mel is awesome and win just 'cause, so is Teenzors, Nightside is also awesome and win (there was a Doctor Who reference, people! Disguised but there), and I have new comfy sheets to put on my bed. Also, Puck sent me a pony!!! His name is Zack. My reasoning went thusly; he was purchased at Busch Gardens, Gardens=Garden State, Garden State=Zach Braff but I already have a character named Zach, so we'll change it to Zack. My mind works in mysterious ways.
Today, I plan to do laundry, take a shower, futz around with Puck and possibly El, write 2000 words of novel and maybe a little more if I can manage it, write some more Alex sentences and encourage Puck in the most outrageous way possible to finish her Abram sentences, change the sheets on my bed and make my bed for the first time in months, clean up my room so I can find shite, and work on my developed drawings of the Doctor and Fitz. Particularly Fitz, as I've really no idea what I'm doing with him. Cargo pants definitely, and I quite like the overshirt, but I may have to ditch that in the Obverse; whatever, he's wearing the same shirt both times. And I should also ask Teen if the suit I found could fit Elizabeth Sladen. I'm not positive, since I only have access to her height and not her measurements, and I don't have enough experience sizing to be sure.
Tomorrow, I believe I'm going to visit my Evil Mistress at Southern Faire. I can hear my bank account screaming already. Let's hope it works, and I am not purchasing anything at Ojai with the possible exception of food. Because, er, poor. But I've got everything I need (jangly bits, belt, moneypouch so I don't have to use the natural pocket, dagger, and tankard all having been purchased at Esco) and thus do not need to. Which reminds me, summer projects for Faire include possibly learning to embroider/knit/crochet, making a monkey vest, and sprucing up my apron so it works for Faire.
